If you are not sure which plan to choose or how cleaning works in shared accommodation, these answers should help.
Can I book just for my room if my flatmates are not interested?
Yes. We can clean only your private room and ensuite, as long as we can access the property. Many students start with a bedroom-only plan and add shared spaces later once housemates see the difference.
Do I need to be in when you clean?
You do not have to be in, but many students prefer to be around the first time. After that, you can agree key-safe or reception access where available, or arrange for a flatmate to let us in.
What if my lecture timetable changes?
You can move or skip a visit with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability. For exam periods, some students switch from fortnightly to weekly cleans for a short time.
Are your cleaners DBS-checked and insured?
Yes. All Ubuntu Kinn cleaners are identity and DBS-checked, fully trained and covered by comprehensive public liability insurance.
How does payment work for house shares?
For House Share Plus, each housemate can pay their share separately via our secure online checkout, or one person can manage the subscription and split costs between you.
